| Do you ever act like a tourist? When we are broke and need a diversion we go to GSMNP area and act like tourists.
Its cheap and fun. And with the economy going the way it is, Isee many people staying close to home to have a break/vacation.

| Re: Do you ever act like a tourist? What is GSMNP stand for? Nope-- I don't go close and act like a tourist-- although I see nothing wrong with it. They say a lot of great fun places are right in your own neighborhood. | | |

| Re: Do you ever act like a tourist? I'm all for being a tourist in your own area! I'll even walk around my own hometown and take photos like a tourist!! LOL! Actually I live in an historic place with a lot of old buildings and such and they're just so beautiful that I can't resist. I'll go into the old antique stores and such just like folks who don't live here do and it's really a fun, inexpensive thing to do. There are many things in Minnesota to do and see and enjoy so I don't mind staying close to home and checking them out! | | |

| Re: Do you ever act like a tourist? Act like a tourist in Pattaya and you would be glad to know that almost everyone in the nearby is willing to help you. People here are very friendly and loving. They would never cheat you or misguide you. | | |

| Re: Do you ever act like a tourist? once, I went to Philidelphia, which isn't far from my home, and walked around, taking pictures and making stupid gestures, even though I was there many times before. I was just acting like the stereotypical tourist, lol. It was great; I got weird looks. | | |

| Re: Do you ever act like a tourist? I have acted like a tourist many times. It just generally makes people a lot nicer to you. I guess it's kind of cruel to make them have pity on you, but what are you going to do? | | |

I traveled to Canada once, Montreal to be exact, and traveled into Old Montreal and attempted my rusty French skills. Apparently, I was asking where objects like pencils and whatnot were, and I ordered fish instead of a drink at a resterant. I started acting more like a tourist after that, lol.

| Re: Do you ever act like a tourist? That is funny stuff. I never thought of doing that and I live in a very tourist type of place. Maybe I will break out my camera and take a few pics in my square. | | |

| Re: Do you ever act like a tourist? Last time I go to another country, Dubai, I got more than 500 photos.
Since I think I won't go to Dubai again, I need to take picture and taste all food there.
I don't care about local people think about me because they don't know me :D
