I read an article yesterday that a group of friendly Parisians have banded together to show complete strangers around Paris. They will speak English or whatever language you want them to speak and they are doing it for FREE!! They won't even accept tips. They just ask that you pay their transportation fares if you take a bus or cab with them.
I thought that was a really great idea! I may think about going to Paris now!
I have been to Paris twice when I was younger and didn't have a problem, everyone was friendly enough. It doesn't suprise me that they are willing to do this, I guess they want to make it more tourtist friendly
I think the service that they will offer will not be very good, since it's FREE. However, many strangers will be glad somebody to help them, and they will change their opinion about Paris.
That really is a great idea to help tourists out! They do seem like curtious, friendly people in Paris. I love the language itself. Been planning to make a trip here myself someday.
